We have just completed the second stage of works under the project commissioned to PROTE by the General Directorate for Environmental Protection concerning the development and implementation of methods for combating invasive species. Our goal is to select the best technique to reduce or remove the population of species such as Cabomba Caroliniana, western waterweed, and duckweed fern. As we have finished the detailed description of the plants' locations and removal techniques, we can now start the third stage of our project. Soon we will begin field activities, including active implementation of the methods developed by us and combating aquatic plant species that threaten our native fauna and flora.
