On October 14, at 12.00, there will be a national scientific seminar entitled "Invasive alien species in the aspect of aquatic ecosystem management and protection of underwater landscapes", co-organized by PROTE. The meeting is organized as part of project no. POIS.02.04.00-00-0100/16-00, co-financed from the European Funds, "Development of rules for the control and eradication of invasive alien species, including pilot activities and social education", which we carry out on behalf of the General Directorate for Protection Environment in Warsaw. The meeting is devoted to the first part of the project, the aim of which is to determine the degree of invasiveness of alien species in Poland, to identify the species most threatening to native nature, and to develop methods of their eradication or control, on the example of aquatic plants (Cabomba caroliniana, Azolla fine azolla, Elodea delicate nuttallii), mainly regarding the problem of lakes located in Olsztyn (Lake Długie, Lake Kortowskie). The event will take place at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, 12A Heweliusz St., in room 29. We cordially invite you!
