PROTE Saves Noteć Forest

The company PROTE Bioremediation of Petroleum Derivatives took an active part in the elimination of the results of a rail disaster, which took place on February 24^th 2001 in Miały, near Lake Wielkie and Lake Główki on the territory of Noteć Forest. In the accident 8 freight carriages derailed: ? 4 tank wagons with diesel fuel, 1 tank wagon with soda lye, 1 tank wagon with carbon dioxide, 1 tank wagon after acrylonitrile, 1 platform carriage with steel pipes. PROTE carried out preventive and reclamation works with the use of comprehensive solutions and technologies, which prevented the spreading of contamination and lead to the effective decontamination of the territory from petroleum derivatives. PROTE?s professionalism and quick actions prevented an ecological disaster, which might have destroyed a substantial part of Noteć Forest
