October 11-13, 2017 PROTE Technologies for our Environment had a pleasure to support the Sweco Consulting company from Poznan in the works consisting in obtaining detailed bathymetric data of a German flood control channel located on the territory of Küstrin-Kietz, by sharing its pontoon with an outboard engine as well as measuring equipment. A very difficult terrain and hydrological situation did not allow us to apply traditional measuring techniques. The jointly developed methodology, however, enabled us to obtain all necessary hydrogeological data, which was used for the purpose of hydraulic modeling. The works were carried out within the Project called "Project and Construction Supervision over the Works, Project Management, Technical Support and Training as well as Support and Enhancement of the institutional potential of the Entity Implementing the Project (JRP – Jednostka Realizująca Projekt) for Regional Water Management Authority (RZGW) in Szczecin”, co-financed by the World’s Bank. The company Sweco Consulting Sp. z o.o. is responsible for the project as the consortium leader, and the ordering party is the Regional Water Management Authority in Szczecin.
