On June 30th, 2020 PROTE’s CEO – Mr. Pawel Samelak participated in the Annual General Meeting of the PIE’s Board of Members, which was held in Katowice (http://www.pie.pl/aktualnosci/xxi-walne-zgromadzenie-czlonkow-polskiej-izby-ekologii.html). The subject of the meeting included the approval of the PIE Council Report for the financial year 2019, PIE Board Report for the year 2019, PIE Financial Report for the year 2019, and discharge to the Council and the PIE Board for the previous year. Additionally, during the meeting, PIE Members discussed proposals for changes in the Statute of the Polish Chamber of Ecology.
PROTE, as a socially responsible company, which has been involved in activities for environmental protection in Poland for years, has been a member of the Polish Chamber of Ecology for almost 11 years. PIE, which last year celebrated its 20th anniversary, is an organization of economic entities dealing with broadly understood environmental protection. It gives opinions on programs and projects related to the functioning of the economy, participating in the preparation of legal acts, and being the consultative body in the abovementioned scope. It cooperates with local governments. The Polish Chamber of Ecology also conducts promotional activities by organizing collective stands of interested members of the Chamber at exhibition events, both domestic and international, as well as publishing - editing and distributing the quarterly "Ecology" - one of the leading magazines of the environmental industry in Poland. PIE also conducts various industry trainings and supports research and development activities, technology transfer, entrepreneurship, and innovation of the economy.
